78 years after the creation of the legendary Reverso Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, the company introduced its new Grande Reverso Duodate watch, combining the distinctive Reverso case and the innovative aesthetics of the design.
Originally created for polo players in the Indian Army, the Reverso watch is named after its reversible case. On one side of the case of the timepiece is silvered dial with guilloche engraving, blue steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and a large date display. The dial of the watch is extremely readable due to large Arabic numerals. On the other side of the watch case is black dial with a synchronized 24 hour hand serving as a day/night indicator.
The Grande Reverso Duodate watch will be produced in limited edition of 500 items in pink gold and 1,500 items crafted from steel. The case of the timepiece measures 31.3mm in width and 52mm in height. “Grande” in the name of the watch refers to the fact that the case of the timepiece is the biggest one ever designed for a Reverso watch. Within the case lies the in-house manufactured manually wound calibre 986 movement.
According to the watchmaking house, in spite of the fact that the two time zones are set with just one crown, the process is not difficult and setting two time zones should not interfere with one another. The Grande Reverso Duodate watch is perfect for the travelers who like the classic Reverso case and want their watch to display more than one time zone.
