The watch features barleycorn guilloche on the dial and wavy guilloche on the counters and moon disk. The case is 45 mm in diameter. The case is available in rose gold with silver dial or in stainless steel with black or silver dial.

In 2008 Zenith enriched its Chronomaster collection with new complicated ChronoMaster Open Grande Date. This innovatory watch features peculiar design and special technical complications.

Three patented disks that are placed at 2 o’clock position can be seen through transparent dial. This transparent material is a product of space technology. Due to some properties of this material there is an illusion that numerals float in space.

A window that is positioned at 10 o’clock (characteristic feature of this series) allows to admire the El Primero 4039 mechanism that consists of 331 parts and 41 rubies. Roman numerals and Grain d’Orge guilloche decorate the dial that is made out of pink gold in classic variant and stainless steel for more modern models.
